New in the PRO-Ohio Web Assessments
- Teachers can now select the questions from each indicator assessment that they want the students to see. They can also select STATIC or RANDOM delivery of the questions. The STATIC selection is ideal for printing the selected questions and having students complete the test in class; then taking their answers to the lab and recording their responses in the same order as the printed test. This is accessed through the Teacher: Testkeys module.
- Comment on Question or Comment on Test: Teachers can now comment on a test or each question and have an automatic email send to the CEO of PRO-Ohio for immediate attention. This is accessed through the Teacher: Testkeys.
- Student data can now be transferred from Class to Class, School to School or District to District (this is a Principal or Admin function).
New in the PRO-Ohio School Reports Program
- Principals can now generate a School Summary of Academic Content Standards Subgroup (Demographic) Report. This report compares the scores for all students taking a particular test with students in each selected subgroup.
PRO-Ohio Planned Updates
- We will be adding an additional 2,800 questions this year to the question bank during the 2007-2008 school year. These will be spread out over grades 2-10 and for the subjects of math, reading, science and social studies. Approx. 1000 of the 2800 questions will be added during the summer.
- 8th grade Social Studies will be Testing Indicators rather than Benchmarks through most of the year. Last year we tested the benchmarks and many social studies teachers didn’t use the product because they were teaching only the 8th grade indicators and not the 6th and 7th grade indicators. The Benchmarks assessments will be available a few weeks before the OAT.
- The PROgress Report averages will be modified to reflect the average of only the students taking that test within the indicator. Previously the average was based on all students in the class (this caused the average to be very low if all students had not taken the assessment for that indicator). We plan on having that changed by October 2007.
PRO-Ohio to Work with Turning Point
- PRO-Ohio and Turning Point (student response systems or sometimes called the Clicker) are working hand-in-hand this year. All short-cycle web questions will be converted to Turning Point format and grouped by indicator. This is scheduled for release around Sept 15, 2007.
