What’s new this year?

  • We’ve added over 1500 new questions over the summer.
  • There is a new Student Assessment format.
  • Teachers can give different types of web assessments. (see below for details)

What types of indicator/benchmark (i/b) assessments can the teacher select?

Teachers can now give 3 types of i/b assessments:

  1. ALL assessment, if set to Random, will choose 8 questions at random from the bank of questions (many have 20 questions or more)
  2. Test 1:  A defined set of 8 questions chosen from the bank of questions in item 1 above.
  3. Test 2: A 2nd unique set of 8 questions chosen from the bank of questions in item 1 above.

What are the new Other Assessments for the teacher?

On the student’s Available Tests screen, there is an Other Assessments tab. They include:

  1. Standards Based Review Assessment which pulls 3 questions from each of the i/b’s within that standard.
i.e. if there are 6 indicators under the Number Sense standard, then there will be 18 questions.
  2. OAA Benchmark Assessments: These are quarterly assessments that use only the OAA questions.
  3. Social Studies: We are starting to add Instructional Unit Assessments
i.e. in grade 10 there are 8 units of instruction:
Example: A: Industrialization and Progressivism 1877-1920 or  B: Foreign Affairs from Imperialism 1898-1939

NOTE: All Other Assessment scores will be separated from the i/b assessments.

What’s changed in CCI (Classroom Clicker Integration)?

  • In October we will include a Test 1 or Test 2 option.
